Imaginary Play

We’ve started “blocking” (new terminology for me) for the local play that I’m in. Since we don’t have the set built yet, the director put tape on the floor to represent doors, windows, and staircases. This is my first time apart from grade school Christmas pageants to be in a play. So far, with all the imaginary walls, doors and props, everything reminds me of when I was a kid playing with my friends…and the bossiest kid is the director.

She's got personality.

While I was over at my brothers house the other day, my youngest niece and I were dancing and singing "I know you" from Sleeping Beauty when I realized I needed to record her singing before she actually learns how to sing.

I also filmed my oldest niece singing. It starts out a little slow, but it's worth watching.

"Oh no, she didn't!" Yeah, she did lick the camera.

Arkansas Weekend

This past weekend I went with Lindsay, Shay, and Lindsay's mom, Janice, to visit Lindsay's brother and his wife who are expecting their first baby. We went to help them prepare their little nursery. Saturday, we girls mostly worked on making the bumper pad and bed skirt for the crib. Then Sunday, we went to the park and downtown area for Lindsay to take some pictures of Taylor and Julia.

Cooking/Hearing Ladies

We volunteered to cook at the Christian Deaf Women's Conference this weekend. All of us pictured here are not deaf. There was a little bit of a language barrier with those who were deaf - made for an interesting and comical weekend!

Kitchen-tage

Things were a little slow in the kitchen this weekend while we were cooking at the Christian Deaf Women's Conference, so Lindz and I started filming Mantage videos. I don't know how to clip videos together, so I just placed my palm over the camera between scenes. Dorky, huh? Here I have the final video, and I also posted the first just because it's too funny.
