Dad and Mom's Anniversary

Today is my parent's anniversary. It would be silly to say that they love each other - of course they do! But what I think is really wonderful is how much they enjoy each other. They have a joyful, happy friendship that blesses everyone else around.

My, my, what sharp teeth you have!

Is he yawning or is he stretching his jaws in preparation for the next attack?

Big Girl Hugs

Aunts

Here is Lindsay with her new nephew! She was in the process of bringing the little guy's face up next to her's so I could get an awesome photo, when his little head fell forward. He was fine - he didn't even wake up, but poor Lindsay...

My niece had been on my back. In a daring, acrobatic move I flipped her around to precariously balance on my hip. She's a trusting little stinker!

Not the Money Maker!

On Father's day, in what appeared to be a freak hacky-sack accident, a young Velma man slammed his face into his own car. It still remains unclear as to what sustained the most damage - the car or Zack's nose!

Happy Papa's Day!

Dad and his kids.

Convergence

Scott and Dad lounging on the party raft. Zack who had been out in the kayak, caught a ride back with Shay in the sailboat. Lazy bones kinda day.

Painting at Mama Lou's

Piper's oldest painting me a birthday picture. Mom always gets out the paints for any kid that comes over - it's just her thing.

Martha Stewart Living (in Oklahoma)

Although, these pics are more like a spoof on Martha Stewart, I have always loved her picnic and dinner party ideas. Note the bricks holding the table cloth down - that was my own idea (well okay, it was Mom's). The Oklahoma wind later blew the tent into some of our windows.

See, everyone is happy and beautiful just like in Martha's magazine! And check out that volleyball net.

Sailing Clear Creek

Dad and I (mostly me) tumped our boat over in the strong winds. Scott came to our rescue - and if he couldn't do it, the jet ski was there, and if he couldn't do it, the motor boat was there, and if he couldn't do it....

Bubbles

I realize I'm a leeeetle bit behind in posting pics. Until I get to the others, here's this one. She's sooo pretty!

My kind of golf

I played golf with some ex-coworkers of mine. All the games I had ever played had been fairly quiet and respectful. Towards the beginning of this game, one of the guys hit the ball very badly and I let out a snort/giggle. I thought maybe I was being too rude and asked my teammate Brett if it was okay to laugh. "Oh yeah! It's okay." And we did - the entire game! I think I like any sport where you are allowed to belly laugh.

Grace

This is Grace - she belongs to one of my fellow softball players. Sometimes she'll reach her tiny hand in through the fence and grab a ball in the dugout, and then fight to get it back through the fence. Watching her do this really cracks me up. Okay! Sometimes I egg her on, "Hey Gracey, you want a ball?!" She's a super cute kid!
