Art Shopping at Montmartre

We took pictures from the artists we bought from.

I tried the pistachio

it was...interesting.

After our ice cream break, we went back to buy some more art. You would be surprised at how much brain energy it takes to pick out the perfect painting for a reasonable price... and you have to talk with all the artists... there is a language barrier...and our time was limited because we had to catch a train to Angers.

I think maybe I choose the art pieces I did just because I like the artists so much!

Sheppard Airshow

My work buds and I went to the Sheppard Airshow Saturday. The Canadian Snowbirds were the main attraction.

This is the tall, (fairly) good looking pilot that Em and I visited with and whom (is whom right?)my mom blogged about. He was actually very polite, talked with us for quite a while, and answered all our questions. He just didn't like Texas, which is fine - New York isn't on my top ten either.

This is the goofy Canadian pilot who was very pleased to take a picture with me.

Chad and Jan with a Warthog

The Snowbirds were cool, but this guy was by far the most entertaining. All the same, the F-15E that I don't have a picture of stole the show (or maybe my heart).

This man is from Amarillo. I got his business card, so I can contact him to contact me the next time he's at a fly-in in Oklahoma, so he can fly me around!

P-51 Mustang!

All of us.

A few more Paris pics

Eventually, I'll get copies of the other pictures. I've been trying to hold out!
Basilique du Sacre Coeur
People eating in the street - very common (not so much in Duncan)

I took lots of Motorcycle pics.

Lindsay and the lamps

A wedding dress shop across the street from a church

Lindsay and Catherine (the pic of me and Uncle Craig wasn't so great ;)

Catherine and Craig

Sleepy heads

Catherine and Craig took us to the metro station to get us all sorted out on metro passes. I love this pic, because it shows how sleepy we were - hour 34.

Taste of France

We survived! And had a blast - the whole trip was one huge, non-stop adventure!

I'll try to write down some of the stories as I post pictures. Until then, here's a few pics taken with my old, little camera. We took most of the pictures with Lindsay's way-awesome cameras, but I don't have copies of those pics yet, so...enjoy!

View from Montmarte

Some church we came across on our walk from Montmatre to the Eiffel Tower

We met up with my Uncle Craig and Catherine at the Eiffel Tower and then had dinner.
