Martha Stewart Living (in Oklahoma)

Although, these pics are more like a spoof on Martha Stewart, I have always loved her picnic and dinner party ideas. Note the bricks holding the table cloth down - that was my own idea (well okay, it was Mom's). The Oklahoma wind later blew the tent into some of our windows.

See, everyone is happy and beautiful just like in Martha's magazine! And check out that volleyball net.

I think the bricks may have been your father's idea. The volleyball net gives new meaning to pole bending competition. But I love Emily's volleyball form.

I have a Martha story. The last company I worked for handled the "Martha Stewart Living" web site (updates, admin, maintenance, yadda, yadda). While we were in the front-end of the bidding process I casually dropped a comment in a meeting with all the shooters that IF we won the contract (which we did) I wanted to go out to NY and meet Martha, if at all possible. One of the VPs casually asked "why?" and I replied that she was my Number One Lust Object... and she was, at the time. Well, everyone fell out of their chairs laughing and I acquired something of a reputation for that remark.

It helps to know that I was the oldest guy in the company at the time... most everyone else were 30-something techies and entrepenurial types.

I never did get to meet her... more's the pity.

Buck, I would think that every man would love Martha. She cooks, keeps a great house, is rich...

I have always been a fan of Martha.

All that is true, but you know how superficial we males can be. I think she's HOT, the rest is icing. But I have been known to lick the bowl. Just sayin'. :D
