Drawers

On our way back from Austin, I bought a dresser at Ikea. It came in two boxes - assembly required. Saturday afternoon, Mom and I put it together using textless instructions which was surprisingly easy, and fun too!

Mom's short legs and flexibility sometimes makes her look like a little girl to me. One time when I was about twelve, we were visiting some friends and jumping on their trampoline. I talked Mom into jumping with me. She looked so much like a little girl jumping on that trampoline, it was fascinating - and funny too! In fact, I think I laughed so hard I nearly fell off the trampoline which made Mom mad and she stopped jumping with me. In between bursts of giggles, I begged her to come back, but it was no use. She didn't care to be laughed at anymore, I guess.

I have put together waaaaay too much Ikea in my time. I am always glad when it's assembled, but dislike those little "L" wrench things. I need an electric drill/screwdriver!

Jess, I would have paid good money to see that!! I was jumping on a trampoline not too long ago with my grandson Dallas and I had never seen him laugh so hard at PaPaw! It was a precious memory that hopefully both of us will keep forever!

Mezzo, we were using the drill at one point, and we were all like, "Why how come it don't work!?" That's when Dad walked by and pointed out the alan wrench to us. It worked much better ;)

Dale, I think I might like this Dallas kid!

After sitting with my legs curled up working on those drawers, there was very little flexibilty left. I'm glad I make you laugh. Working with you on the chest was great fun.

"some assembly required" are there any other words that strike more fear into the heart of man?
