Renaissance Fair

Kat, Lindsay, and I went to the Renaissance Fair in Norman on Saturday. It's a great place for people watching! Lindsay kept quoting, "Don't insult the freaks!" from the movie Madagascar. She also kept insisting that this medieval stuff wasn't her thing, but Kat and I are going dress up for it one of these days - we're going to join the freaks!

(You can hear some bystanders jeering at Lindsay.)

"Roll in the hay" could be the title of the videos.

Looks like you ladies are into ladders also...good effort! Did you witness anyone actually make it to the top?

Mom, more like "Tossed in the Hay"!

BioMog, there were small children giving the ladders a try without any success, but the man running the show gave a presentation that made it look fairly easy.

FWIW... The Second Mrs. Pennington is seriously into the Society for Creative Anachronism... to the point where she's an officer in the local chapter... and has indoctrinated SN3 in the "arts." Whatever floats yer boat, I guess.

Yeah Buck, "To each his own". I don't want to get all that into it. I just like to play dress-up :)

I went to the Dicken's Fair for the first time this year - it's like the Ren Faire, only during the holiday season - and was one of the uncostumed minority. Next time I go I'm TOTALLY dressing up - I think it would be *that* much more fun.

I never miss the Renaissance Fair! It is so much fun to spend the day there. The food is always so yummy and costumes are just amazing! I never miss a chance to play dress up, even though it can sometimes be difficult to find costumes for plus sizes.
