My Huckleberry Friend

Lindz and I went kayaking and had a
picnic at lake Fuqua, Friday night.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend, my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

Great pics, Jess. But I got a much different ear-worm while looking at 'em, and before I got to your "Moon River" entry.

Which, specifically, was Led Zep's "Immigrant Song..."

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying:
Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar,
Our only goal will be the western shore.
Ah, ah,

It's a generational thing, methinks. ;-)

Hi!

It looks like your going to catch some pirates over there..
hehehe

But what I liked the most is the 14th photo...I love it, truly!

....Nice lyrics over there.
Moon River is one of the songs I love sing...it reminds me of Tom Sawyer and his friend Huckleberry Finn.

I just had to tell you that I really enjoy your pictures! I especially like the one of Lindsey with the paddle up to her head. I'm not really sure why. It's kinda weird, but something about the colors & the water. Thanks for sharing these. Looks like you chicks are havin' fun as usual!
