The Flying Dutchman asked me if I would come take pics of the little soccer team that he coaches. Me, "Yeah, sure." After I got there, I realized that everyone was expecting a real photographer! And here I am with my little Rebel that I haven't quite figured out how to work, and it's getting dark - fast! I started to feel overwhelmed, and I whined and complained just like a true prim-madonna about the conditions I was being forced to work with. Those boys were torqued too! It was a feat just to get them standing still and all looking at the camera long enough to snap a shot. At one point, the Dutchman just let them run wild for a little while to expound some energy. I tried to snap shots, but of course they were all blurry. I yelled at them not to move, and in the top picture you can see how those little hams froze. They stood frozen like that for quite a while until the whole pile lost it's balance and crumbled to the ground.

Those are some great shots. You do so well with little boys.
I think you did a great job. It reminds me of the days of watching TA play soccer. Little kids are so fun to watch playing sports! but I'm sure getting them to take a picture was somewhat like herding cats.
I think you did a great job, too, Jess. Especially the group shot... one couldn't ask for better lighting!
Great photos...! Captures their crazy energy perfectly!
